“Eins…Zwei…Drei!” Telephone Part Four: Here’s my fourth and final design for the Telephone video! The themes in this video rely heavily on both feminism, as well as a suggested relationship between Gaga and her collaborator, Beyonce. We can’t very well showcase this video without representing Honey Bey, now can we?
Colors & Materials Used: Base coat of white, taped-off sections of You’re S-Teal The One blue (Nicole by OPI), followed by more taped sections of Red Carpet (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear). The striping took so long that I didn’t want to muck the the design by trying to free-hand the stars, so, the stars are nail art stickers which I painted white prior to applying. Clear and pink rhinestones, along with half pearls and jewelry chain were added to the accent nail.
I actually wore these for a full week with the chains on. As long as you put them on the ring finger (which you use the least) of your non-dominate hand, they aren’t nearly as annoying as they look! (I did, however, end up popping off the two shortest chains on either side, since they kept getting stuck up underneath the nail and actually ended up being more annoying than the long pieces. Who knew, right?)
More Telephone Nails: Part One, Part Two, and Part Three.
Hey there I totally love your site and I am a novice nail artist myself . I saw the post with the nails you called metropolis nails or it said "or we could call them steampunk; I am a proud native girl and found that is misrepresenting native art as something else. I don't ever post nasty comments or about things I don't truly believe in so this is one. Please repost that with the true artists credit and for the correct genre it is aboriginal art or native art by Leeanne Helin. Thank you- Mala
Hey there you’d have to relink me this post as I’m super busy to go back through everything but I will for sure credit it. My apologies if I do not credit but I never claim any reblogged posts as my own work. Excuse the late reply too I don’t frequent Tumblr so much at the moment
Hope you like these, even with their lack of hair http://tinxiedoodles.tumblr.com/post/19832030782/dragonballznailart
Movie Inspired Nails: The Wizard of Oz
Practically everyone has either seen or heard of The Wizard of Oz or Dorthy’sstory. The Wizard of Oz over the years has become one of the truly classic movies among children and adults alike. The iconic stature of the film, Dorothy’s ruby red slippers, takes us down the yellow brick road , where she meets the talking apple trees (which turns into an apple throwing fiasco) and so on. With all the amazing stuff MASH has to offer nail art enthusiast, we decided to design nails that will take you on a journey into the Emerald City!
Follow the Yellow Brick Road-(Ring Finger) Choose a dark color (we used CQ’s Milk Chocolate). Wait a minute to dry. For the Yellow Road, we used Image Plate #22 and Stamper with MASH’s Scented Nail Polish in Banana. While the polish was in the midst of drying, we added yellow color rhinestones down the road . (It will kind of cover up the details of the stamped image, but it still resembles yellow bricks.
Ruby Red Slippers (Thumb, Middle, and Pinky Finger) we painted 2 coats of MASH Scented Nail Polish in Cherry, and let it dry for 30 seconds. We then swept those nails with red glitter polish (MASH) to get the sparkling ruby red heels. If you want to go full glitz like we did, use a silver chunky glitter on just the tips (OPI polish in Servin’ Up Sparkle).**Caution**Clicking your nails together will not take you ‘home’…..only to a nice bottle of nail polish remover instead
“My Apples Aren’t What They Oughta Be”-(Index Finger ) For this finger, we used a Kelly Green for the base , representing the city of OZ of course (Love & Beauty polish in Green). Wait a minute, then use the base color (used previously on your Ring Finger) and from the tip of the nail, make an upside down triangle. For the perfectly detailed Apple, use MASH Fimo Canes, placing a slice of apple (literally) on the tip of the triangle (center of nail).
How are you? Been uber busy with school huh… Take it easy :-P

Definitely use a spotting pen they come in all different colors :-) try a white background and maybe use bright bold colored spotting pens to achieve a really cool floral look. These pens will take some practice and getting used to. Otherwise try stencils jjust make sure your base color is completely dry before applying sticker stencils
Fall-inspired nail wheel I did to use at work.
Thanks sweets. Its all not mine though Haha. Just to give you all some inspiration ♥
♥ right back!
All Things Being Equal
I finally got my striping tape in the mail, and this is the first manicure I came up with using it to mask off a gradient beneath! Not sure why an equalizer came to mind, but hey, I’ll take inspiration when it comes. :-P

DOG NAILS! I am totally obsessed with French Bulldogs and Boston Terriers, and now I get to look at them all day! I espescially like the way the thumb nail came out. Nothing cuter than a googly-eyed, smiling Frenchie!:)
